Learning is a journey and I'm excited to share in this adventure with students. It is my hope that students will grow in confidence and explore in their learning environment daily. There will be many opportunities for students to showcase their best efforts and to be peer helpers to others.
Being a teacher for 10 years has allowed me to experience and appreciate different places, people, and cultures. My goal is for Woodmoor Library to embody that same spirit, all are welcome.
Three things to know about me:
1. I love to read! Its like a movie is playing in my head when I read a good book.
2. Smiling can help brighten up someone's day so I smile a lot.
3. I have three rules for students to follow, BE Safe, BE Responsible, BE Respectful.
I began my teaching career as a high school German and English teacher, then went back to school and got my Masters in Library and Information Science. I loved my high school librarian and thought I would love to do what she did. After that I worked in a private K-12 school as a librarian. Now I am happy to be here at Woodmoor. I have four kids and all four were/are students at Woodmoor. I love this school and the people here. I enjoy helping students find books they love and find the information they need.
