Note from the Principal

As autumn settles in around us, we're embracing the crisp air, colorful leaves, and yes—those cold, wet mornings. Please help your child stay cozy and dry by dressing them appropriately for the season. We’re still celebrating the Mariners’ fantastic season—what a thrill! Now it’s time to cheer on the Seahawks as they take the spotlight. Whether on the field or in our classrooms, let’s keep the energy high and the community spirit strong. Wishing you all a bright and wonderful fall!

Tips for planning ahead for your family:

💡 Start meal planning now and take inventory of the foods you currently have in your pantry to make the most of these ingredients.

💡With your remaining October SNAP food benefits, prioritize non-perishable foods, bulk foods, and low-cost items (pasta, rice, beans, cereals & oats, canned veges/fruits or soups, lentils, nut butters, etc).

💡Note that any unused benefits will roll over and only expire after 274 days of EBT card inactivity - so you should be able to continue to use the SNAP benefits that you already have.

💡Some local food banks require that you make an appointment and/or are only open during certain hours. They may also request that you bring proof of address, income and family size with you. Please be sure to inform yourself or contact the organization before showing up.

Nortshore Foundation Gift Card Drive

As we enter the holidays, the Northshore Schools Foundation is able to support struggling families. Through our Removing Barriers Campaign, we provide grocery store gift cards directly to Northshore families experiencing food insecurity. Your monetary gift today will help a family celebrate the holidays with a full table.

Every donation makes a direct difference:

· $175 provides a week of groceries for a family of four

· $100 ensures a family can prepare a holiday meal

· $250 supports a family through the entire winter break

To continue making a difference for families facing food insecurity, you can donate here: Donate - Northshore Schools Foundation (Donations for this cause accepted through December 31, 2025)
