Note from the Principal

Welcome Back Woodmoor Community!

I hope this letter finds you refreshed and ready for an exciting new year. I’m thrilled to welcome you all back for the 2025–2026 school year. There’s something truly magical about the first days of school—new pencils, big dreams, and smiling faces ready to learn and grow together.

This summer, I had the joy of spending time with family in Jackson Hole. It was a wonderful and relaxing time and now I’m fully energized to jump into this exciting school year with all of you.

One of the most meaningful steps we’re taking this year is our commitment to student voice. We believe that every child has a story worth sharing and ideas worth exploring, and we’re looking forward to amplifying those voices throughout our classrooms, programs, and decisions. Listening and learning from our students isn’t just inspiring—it’s essential.

We’re also overjoyed to share updates about our new inclusive building plan, designed to foster equity, accessibility, and belonging in every corner of our school. You’ll find more details and next steps outlined in the newsletter below.

Thank you, families, for being the heart of our school community. Let’s make 2025–2026 a year filled with joy, growth, and connection. We’re so happy you’re here!

In partnership,

Mrs. Johnson

Principal

Conversations with the Principal

We are excited to announce that our monthly Conversations with the Principal will now be held right before the monthly PTSA meeting in the library! Join Principal Johnson in the library at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 7th. The first topic will be Student Voice!

Pre-Arranged Absences:

Our instructional pacing is not designed to accommodate extended student absences. Our instruction includes interactive experiences that cannot be duplicated outside of the classroom setting. Make up work after an absence will not adequately replace the missed learning experiences. Consistent daily attendance is essential for your child's success in school. We strongly encourage families to schedule vacations according to the district calendar. Please understand that if your family schedules an absence while school is in session, teachers will not provide lesson materials or homework in advance. Students may make up the work when they return.
